Wither The Rule of Law?

There are so many articles I want to discuss, and I don’t want to inundate FB with multiple posts, and BSky has a character limit, so a blog post it is:
- I didn’t vote for Elon Musk? I don’t think anyone did. So why is Musk now controlling ALL Federal spending? Why is he making offers to resign to all Federal employees, ignoring employment contracts, retirement considerations, and Federal law? Why is he ignoring Congress in all of this? We didn’t vote for Musk.
- Trmp now wants to nullify ratified union contracts with Federal workers. He thinks they were Biden being vindictive towards him. Trmp seems to believe that the laws do not apply to him. His “immunity” only goes so far, and cannot override Congress.
- Further, Trmp has ordered the Army Corps of Engineerings to release water in the central valley of California, possibly flooding farmers and making it so California won’t have water for agriculture during drought conditions. Oh, and none of this water is going to Los Angeles, and the fires it is claimed to be helping are already out.
I don’t know how, but Trmp and Musk, and their cohorts, need to be reigned in. They must learn that Congress controls the purse and how is it spent. They must learn that the President is NOT a king, and his princes are not all powerful. They need to be reminded that the Constitution is above all, and that oaths are to the Constitution and the laws therein, and not a specific individual.
