Good Advice Costs Nothing and is Worth Twice the Price

After her graduation from UC Berkeley last May, my daughter did what millions of millenials with student loans have done — she moved back into our house with her boyfriend. I mention this because my accumulating news chum has a collection of useful articles for parents and children in the exact same situation, which I thought I would share:

• Five Tips for Moving Back In With Your Parents. Here’s a short collection of some useful tips that will ensure a smooth transition.
• Five Things Parents Never Teach Their Children About Money. One of the big drawbacks of our educational system is that it doesn’t teach real-world skills, including how to manage money and credit. Here are five useful types related to that.
• Six Banking Tips for Young Millennials. In a similar vein, here’s a useful article about how to use your bank or credit union much more effectively.
• How to Live Frugally While Paying Off Your Student Loans. Had Hillary won, we might have been looking at an eventual reform of the student loan system. With Trump, that is less likely, so here some useful advice on how to get those loans paid off.

Hopefully, these links will prove useful to your children (or, if you are a millennial, to you).
