I've seen Lippa's Wild Party twice. The first time I went because someone I know was in the cast (playing Madeline True). The second time I saw it for sale on a Goldstar at a theatre I've had good experiences with. I like the show quite a bit.
The two brothers are in it - but they are not black. They're the ones who do the title song.
I haven't seen the LaChiusa version and I'd very much like to because I like a lot of his other work.
