Visualizing the USA

Today’s news chum brings you three different maps of the US — three different visualizations of things:

• The Battle Isn’t Over. For all the jubilation yesterday about the decision of the Supreme Court, DOMA isn’t dead — only part of it is dead… and the battle is far from over. This visualization from LA Observed does a great job of showing where we came from… and how far we have to go.
• Corporate America. Here’s another map of the US — this time, each state is shown with the logo of the most famous brands from each state.
• Rivers of America. A third visualization, brought to my attention by Andrew Ducker. This map shows every river in the continental U.S..
