I think it's an inside job by this venture capitalist and his likely conservative buddies to take away California's voting power in presidential elections, ie no more CA not going to Trump. Also, no one mentions the US flag but three CA states means two more stars needed. I would be happy to see us add a star for Puerto Rico; another CA state or two or six, not so much (DC never, unless they first move the federal government to Maryland or Virginia or something).
